Requirements:

Education: M.Sc Chemistry/ Analytical chemistry

Desired experience:
• 1-3 years of post M.Sc, Experience in GC MS is preferred.
• Instrumentation on chemical analysis, operating GC MS and interpreting Spectra.
• Handling and maintaining analytical instruments and following Good Laboratory Practices. Should be able to take up wet chemical analysis.
• Adequate computer knowledge and should be able to work with MS Office software.
• Maintaining Log books, following SOPs and reporting results and basic data compilation.
• Exposure to Safety practices at lab.

Description:

Job responsibilities:
• To analyze samples by Pyrolysis GC MS and generate data for S/G ratio and to take up wet analysis of wood samples for lignin and cellulose.
• Analysis of samples by NIRS. Data analysis and compilation & method development and validation. Preparation of reports and communication of the results obtained and ensure confidentiality of the data.
• Maintain laboratory note book, log books for samples & instruments , SOPS, and follow safety guidelines.
• Should be ready to travel to field locations.
Key success factors:
• Should provide authentic data and timely reporting.
• Maintain the instruments in good condition.
• Should be able to take up additional responsibility when it is required.
• Has to be fast learner, dynamic and should interact with team associated with the work.
