Requirements:

The candidate should hold a Ph.D degree (or equivalent) in stochastic analysis and must demonstrate excellent research abilities/ research potential in probability/ mathematics (desirable: publications in decent journals). She/he should be able to work as part of a team.
The research experience may not exceed 5 years at the time of the appointment (full time equivalent).

The person recruited on this full 6-months position (employment contract with all social securities) will work at the School of Mathematics at the University of Manchester (UK).

Description:

The person recruited on this full 6-months position (employment contract with all social securities) will work at the School of Mathematics at the University of Manchester (UK). The candidate is expected to carry out research work on the topics assigned to the Manchester team: Stochastic partial differential equations; stochastic differential equations; controlled stochastic partial differential equations, controlled stochastic differential equations driven by white noise, Levy processes; study of existence, uniqueness and properties of the solutions; study of deterministic partial differential equations with singular coefficients and backward stochastic differential equations. She/he is expected to participate in and help run the activities associated with the network, particularly training schools and workshops. The recruited researcher will be integrated in the Probability and Statistics Group at the School of Mathematics, University of Manchester.
