Abstract:

We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Applied genomics team. As a research associate you will work in a multidisciplinary environment, interacting with members of breeding, bioinformatics and biotechnology.

Description:

Assist the research lead in fine mapping of loci controlling strategic traits in grapevine; identify develop and validate molecular markers linked to traits; analyze phenotypic and genotypic data for the trait-marker discovery projects; coordinate with breeders and genotyping lab to achieve efficient transfer of biological materials, markers and data.

Knowledge and experience with molecular genetic analyses linking genetic markers to agronomic and other relevant traits for trait-based crop improvement.
Desired skills: knowledge and experience with utilization of publicly available genomic resources for understanding the genes and pathways underlying the molecular mechanisms of phenotypic expression of relevant traits.
