Description:

Sub-project description This part of the project will employ mouse models to investigate the causal mechanistic relation between diet-induced vascular (dys)function and organ (dys)function. In addtion, the potential beneficial effects and underlying mechanisms of specific dietary components on vascular function and clinical outcome will be tested. Role description The PhD-fellow will organise and execute a long term animal study investigating the effects of a high-fat diet on vascular (dys)function. Additional animal studies will focus on the potential beneficial effects and underlying mechanisms of dietary polyphenols on vascular function employing transgenic and knockout mouse models. A technician will support the PhD-fellow’s work
