Requirements:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics or other related field as indicated earlier. The successful candidate must have a strong research credential in areas of focus to the center.

Abstract:

Applicant will be working in multidisciplinary teams and undertake theoretical and/or experimental work responsibilities in research projects, coordinating all the work between the scientists, lead research project team, and interact with the industry. The main function is to bring more client funded project and increase number of publications.

Description:

Candidates with PhD in one of the following area are encouraged to apply:
1. Petroleum Engineering (Reservoir, Drilling, Production, Formation Evaluation, Economic & Evaluation)
2. Geology (Basin modeling, carbon storage, reservoir architecture)
3. Geophysics (seismic, computational geophysics, deep imaging)
4. Geochemistry (molecular geochemistry)
5. Geostatistics (reservoir characterization, earth modeling)
6. Chemical Engineering (polymers and smart fluids related to EOR, mEOR)
7. Chemistry (organic synthesis of polymer/surfactant, nanomaterials)
8. Applied Mathematics (flow in porous media, non-Newtonian flow)
9. Electrical Engineering (Signal processing for seismic applications)
10. Industrial Engineering (optimization, Artificial Intelligent)
11. Geomorphology (remote sensing, GIS)
Successful candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to research excellence at the center, develop externally funded projects and publish in leading scholarly journals. The candidate will benefit from working with graduate students in the department of petroleum engineering and earth sciences.
Salary/Benefits:
Two-years renewable contract. Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Free furnished air-conditioned on-campus housing unit with free essential utilities and maintenance. The appointment includes the following benefits according to the Universitys policy: air ticket to Dammam on appointment; annual repatriation air tickets for up to four persons; assistance with local tuition fees for school age dependent children; local transportation allowance; 45 days paid summer leave; end-of-service gratuity.
