Requirements:
The applicant should have an MD or PhD in neuroscience, medicine, physics, psychology or a related field, and excellent communication skills. Experience with analysis of structural, diffusion, and resting state MR data including for example software packages such as SPM5/8, FSL, MRIStudio, VBM, etc., Linux, and basic programming skills (Matlab, Unix Shell) is desirable.

The Division of Movement Disorders (Director: Tanya Simuni, MD) in the Department of Neurology, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, has an immediate opening for a full-time postdoctoral position to study High resolution diffusion tensor MRI imaging as a biomarker of Parkinson Disease diagnosis and disease progression.
Description:
The Division of Movement Disorders (Director: Tanya Simuni, MD) in the Department of Neurology, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, has an immediate opening for a full-time postdoctoral position to study High resolution diffusion tensor MRI imaging as a biomarker of Parkinson Disease diagnosis and disease progression.
The project is funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, for a 1 year time period. The aim is to characterize changes in diffusion weighted, structural and resting state MR data in patients with Parkinsons disease and normal subjects.
The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary group that includes neuologists, physicists, and neuroscientists with experience in functional and structural imaging of patients with movement disorders. The clinic is staffed by 4 movement disorders neurologists. The imaging infrastructure includes two 3T Siemens Tim Trio Scanners.
