Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral fellow in the Edward A. Doisy Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Center for Cardiovascular Research, beginning in the Winter of 2011. A postdoctoral position is now available in the laboratory of Dr. David Ford.
Projects include the use of murine models of atherosclerosis as well as rodent heart ischemia/reperfusion models to elucidate metabolic and signaling pathways, which mediate cardiovascular disease. Biochemical, genetic, and mass spectrometry-driven lipidomic approaches are used to identify novel pathways. NIH standards will be used in setting the pay scale.
