Abstract:

The candidate will join the team of a project entitled "Viral and insect factors in transmission of plant potyvirus and ipomovirus: mechanisms and use in control" (AGL2010-14949) in the formative programme FPI (2+2 fellowship+contract).

Description:

The candidate will join the team of a project entitled "Viral and insect factors in transmission of plant potyvirus and ipomovirus: mechanisms and use in control" (AGL2010-14949) in the formative programme FPI (2+2 fellowship+contract). The final goal of the project is to design virus control strategies based on interference with the transmission process by aphids or whiteflies, together with the analysis of the impact of viral suppressors of RNA silencing on plant defensive responses.
