Requirements:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree and have a minimum of 3 years postdoctoral experience. Excellent start up packages will be available to the successful candidate. The selected candidate will be expected to participate in departmental teaching of graduate and professional students.

Applications are invited for an Assistant/Associate Professor tenure track, appointment in the Molecular Metabolism and Disease Program at Michigan State University.
Description:
We seek an outstanding investigator with exceptional promise and a proven record of research achievement and ability to attract funding to join a strong and growing group of researchers in the broad area of metabolic disease with emphasis on diabetes, obesity and inflammation (http://molecularmetabolism.msu.edu/faculty.html). The ideal candidate will have expertise in the area of neuroendocrine function, gene regulation, stem cell biology and/or translational research with demonstrated interest in the pathobiology of metabolic disease processes.
The primary faculty appointment will be in one of the basic science departments including Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Physiology, or Pharmacology and Toxicology.
