Requirements:
Qualified applicants must possess a PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, developmental biology, cellular biology, or a related field, and will have a strong background in nuclear receptors and cell signaling. Experience may be in molecular biology, cellular biology, molecular physiology, cancer biology, neurobiology or structural biochemistry. Proficiency in English is a requirement.
Abstract:
The Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling at the University of Houston, under the direction of Dr. Jan-Ake Gustafsson, is actively accepting applications for Post Doctoral Fellows. Our laboratory focuses on the physiological control functions and dysregulation of the estrogen and liver X receptors, using genetically manipulated mouse models as a key experimental tool.
Description:
Postdoctoral fellows will have an opportunity to work with senior research faculty, other trainees and staff members in a modern research lab with excellent equipment and resources. There will be opportunities for travel for data collection and to present scientific findings at professional meetings.
