The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) is an international not-for-profit organisation conducting cancer research and clinical trial programs worldwide.
Description:
This position is located at the LICR Melbourne-Austin Branch where the Ludwig employs approximately 110 staff. The Austin Branch is part of the LICR International Clinical Program which is developing monoclonal antibodies, vaccines and other therapeutic approaches to cancer treatment
The Tumour Targeting Laboratory at the LICR Melbourne-Austin Branch currently has a Post Doctoral Research Fellow position available. The Lab has a research focus on antibody based targeting of cancer, induction of cell killing through immune modulated and payload strategies,and molecular imaging of tumours.
Your research project is outlined in the position description available on our website and will primarily involve exploring the cell biology and protein – protein interaction of erbB family members, and the development of novel strategies for tumour cell killing through monoclonal antibodies and kinase inhibitors to this family of receptors.
You will be required to develop an innovative research program based on the current themes of the laboratory, initiate experiments and collaborations necessary to achieve the successful completion of the project.
