Requirements:
Minimum qualifications: Candidates must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, dedicated to science and problem solving, with organizational skills and effective at working independently and leading projects, while also collaborating and assisting the team in its collective research goals. Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects is expected. Education/ Experience required: PhD and at least 2 years of prior post-doctoral experience are required, with a demonstrated competence and experience in the biology of cancer. Technical expertise in standard basic molecular and cellular techniques, including cell culture, transfections/transductions, siRNA, molecular cloning, plasmid isolation, and animal studies is a necessity.

The Departments of Medicine (Hematology/Oncology) and Molecular and Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine are recruiting highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellows to join a multidisciplinary team carrying out translational research in the area of development of novel therapies for prostate cancer.
Description:
-- Postdoctoral Associate -- The Departments of Medicine (Hematology/Oncology) and Molecular and Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine are recruiting highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral fellows to join a multidisciplinary team carrying out translational research in the area of development of novel therapies for prostate cancer. The successful candidate(s) will work very closely with a physician-scientist and will play a key role in cutting edge research activities leading to the clinical development of new therapeutics for prostate cancer, in particular targeting the androgen receptor coactivators (Science 2008;322(5906):1395-9; Mol Cell 2008;31(6):835-49; Mol Cell 2008;29(4):465-76). This is a rich scientific environment that provides many unique and unparalleled research training opportunities. This position offers a salary commensurate with experience and opportunities for advancement. Motivated individuals with experimental background in prostate cancer and nuclear receptors (androgen receptor, estrogen receptor) are encouraged to apply. Highly skilled and experienced applicants will be considered for a position at the level of Instructor.
