Genetic and Epigenetic Regulation of Neural Stem Cells and their Roles in Regeneration and Brain Tumors

Organization: University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

Location: Dallas, USA

Field: Cancer Research

Requirements:

Self-motivated individuals with a Ph.D. degree and first-author publications in international journals are encouraged to apply. Candidates with demonstrated records in stem cells, neuroscience, molecular or developmental biology are preferred. The candidate is expected to work in a collaborative environment.

Abstract:

One fully funded postdoctoral position is available to study the regulation of neural stem cells and their roles in diseases

Description:

One fully funded postdoctoral position is available to study the regulation of neural stem cells and their roles in diseases. The project may focus on any of the following topics: transcriptional reprogramming, genetic and epigenetic mechanism controlling specification and maintenance of neural stem cells, and signaling pathways in gliomas. Combinations of techniques in molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, and mouse genetics will be employed.
