Senior Researcher: Veterinary epidemiology

Requirements:

The successful applicant will have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in epidemiology and preferably be a veterinary surgeon. It would be highly desirable to hold a PhD and be a Diplomat of European College of Veterinary Public Health.

Description:

With a range of research, consultancy and education services, the Scottish Agricultural College passes on vital skills today, and brings innovation to Scotland's land based industries for tomorrow. The SAC Epidemiology Research Unit (ERU) has played a leading role in helping to progress the development of animal health and population medicine both in Scotland and beyond.
This senior post has been established to manage a portfolio of epidemiology and population medicine projects. The successful applicant will lead science of international quality and practical relevance; further develop strong national and international partnerships within and outside SAC; grow the research income of ERU and manage staff and resources underpinning ERU projects. They will have good interpersonal skills and project management experience and be recognised experts in their specialist field.
