Abstract:

Full-time University Professor (f/m) for Music Informatics

Description:

Research in new musical and compositional means of expression using informatics in the following areas:
• Academic basic research: e.g. man-machine interaction (gesture control) neuronal networks, sound projection, etc.
• Artistic research: e.g. software development for algorithmic composition (computer-aided composition), sound synthesis and analysis (digital signal processing), multimedia and cross media, performance, live electronics, netart, etc.
Teaching style, especially in the context of composition and electro-acoustics, that allows the results of academic and artistic research to spill over into lessons, as well as the development and execution of artistic projects that involve students.
Willingness to serve on committees of the institute, involvement in organizational tasks and in performance evaluations is assumed. It is also expected that employment at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna will be the candidate’s top work priority
