Description:
The Department of Intercultural Communication and Management invites applications for a vacant PhD scholarship in Global Research Collaboration in Software Development. The scholarship will be available from September 1st 2011.
The PhD project is related to a recently initiated interdisciplinary strategic research project ‘Next Generation Technology for Global Software Development’ whose main objective is to understand the key challenges and opportunities for communication and coordinative activities between globally dispersed participants engaged in close collaboration when developing software systems. This research project is conducted by an interdisciplinary and international consortium consisting of academic partners from Copenhagen Business School, the IT University of Denmark and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and of three global IT companies as industrial partners.
The PhD scholarship is part of this collaborative effort and the PhD student will be attached to the Department of Intercultural Communication and Management where the main supervisor Professor Anne-Marie Søderberg is also located. Secondary supervision may be made available by scholars employed at the IT University.
