Requirements:

Applicants should have (by the starting date) a PhD in computer science or a closely related discipline and ideally will have a strong background in one of the research activities carried out at the Faculty of Informatics, namely formal methods, computer graphics and image processing, data management, large scale distributed systems and networks, security and cryptography, embedded systems, enterprise systems and services and natural language processing, for details see: http://www.fi.muni.cz/research/index.xhtml.en

In order to encourage mobility, the candidate cannot be considered eligible for this position if by the starting date, he or she has already worked or studied at the Masaryk University for a total of 6 months or more, during the last 3 years. Candidates who did not graduate from a university in the Czech Republic will be strongly preferred.
The application should contain CV, list of publications, cover letter with statement of research interests and names and contact information of three researchers who are familiar with the applicant's work and who could provide recommendation letters if needed. Abstract:

Up to four post-doc positions in computer science are available at the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, Brno. The positions are initially limited to one year but can be extended to two years based on a successful evaluation after the first 8 months. The gross salary will be 2,000 EUR per month. Anticipated starting date is September 1, 2011 (can be negotiated) and preference will be given to those who can start by Autumn 2011.

Description:

The willingness to contribute to the teaching programme of the Faculty of Informatics by means of a specialized course is welcome. The applicants should enjoy working in a team and have good communication skills. Fluency in English is required
