Requirements:

Applicants should be qualified to teach Social Anthropology in its entire range. A research focus in migration is expected. Candidates should have research expertise that facilitates co-operation within the department and with the Centers of the Phil.-Hist. Faculty, and with other disciplines in the humanities; willingness to actively participate in the strategic aims of the phil.-hist. faculty are expected. Previous experience in negotiating external funding would be an asset. Applicants are expected to supervise students, and show committed participation in the directorate of the institute as well as in faculty work and university duties.

Academic requirements for this position are a Habilitation or equivalent academic qualification. Non-German speaking successful candidates are expected to acquire German within the first two years of their employment.
