Requirements:
Early stage researcher or 0-4 yrs (Post graduate).
- Degree on the master level in statistics, mathematics or physics, bio-engineering, commercial or civil engineering, quantitative economics, finance or actuarial sciences. This diploma must be earned with at least distinction or an equivalent grade.
- Good active knowledge of French for the teaching assistant positions (however, French is not a requirement for a research grant position).

Starting from September 2011, the School of Statistics, Biostatistics and Actuarial Sciences at the Université catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, and its affiliated Research Institute of Statistics, Biostatistics and Actuarial Sciences (ISBA) are offering at least 1 full time teaching assistant positions and 2 full time research assistant positions for preparing a PhD. Description:
As a teaching assistant (on a 2 year contract renewable twice for a total of up to 6 years with average monthly salary of about 2600 Euros including social security) the doctoral student, besides working on his/her thesis (which can be on any of the research topics studied at the ISBA), is teaching tutorials in a variety of service and master courses.
