Requirements:
Candidates should hold a PhD in Protein Crystallography, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry with a strong background in structural biology. Additional skills in molecular biology, recombinant protein expression and purification and biochemical characterization of DNA binding proteins are highly desirable. In addition, experience with the purification of protein-DNA complexes and/or the crystallization of large complexes would be a distinct advantage
The successful applicant should be comfortable working in a multinational team and capable of clear communication.
Abstract:
You will participate in ongoing in-house research programmes, the running of the beamline, providing support to external users as local contact, and develop your own research programme.
Description:
This project will be carried out in the state-of-the-art CI Branden building (Partnership for Structural Biology, http://www.psb-grenoble.eu/) with access to some of the world’s most advanced macromolecular crystallography beamlines. You will also be encouraged to use the research project to fully exploit the unique beamline capabilities of the Structural Biology Group Beamlines (for further information about the instrument/instrumentation please consult http://www.esrf.eu/UsersAndScience/Experiments/MX/
