Requirements:

The candidate must hold a Master of Science or equivalent diploma related to geosciences with a special focus on remote sensing and environmental modelling.
The candidate must have advanced skills in hyperspectral remote sensing, environmental modelling, GIS and digital imaging analysis (Erdas/Imagine or IDL ENVI).
Skills in the crop growth model WOFOST, radiative transfer modelling and/or data assimilation techniques will be considered as an asset.
The candidate must be fluent in English (scientific exchanges) and French (administrative language); knowledge of German is an advantage.

Abstract:

The researcher will develop a methodology to evaluate the state of energy crops using a combination of ground based and airborne hyperspectral measurements and a crop growth modelling approach.

Description:

The Centre de Recherche Public - Gabriel Lippmann, a fast-growing public establishment for applied scientific research and technology transfer, has an opening on a fixed-term contract basis (28 months, depending on the starting date) for its department ‘Environment and Agro-biotechnologies’ (EVA) for a researcher in remote sensing and environmental modelling (m/f).
