Requirements:

The appointee should have qualifications within at least some of the following areas:
1.Molecular biological techniques, e.g. PCR, qRT-PCR, microchip analysis
2.Neuroanatomical techniques, e.g. histology, immunohistochemistry, and in situ hybridization.
3.Rodent neuroanatomy and embryology
4.A phd or equivalent laboratory research background in the above mentioned areas.

Abstract:

Dept. Neurosc. & Pharmacol, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen is seeking a postdoc from July 1st, 2011.

Description:

The Department of Neurosc. & Pharmacology, Circadian Research Group, the Protein Laboratory, is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow to study the function of the non-image forming system of the brain and the influence of this system on circadian rhythms. The goal is to characterize the involvement of the different photoreceptors in the regulation of the gene expression in the suprachiasmatic nucleus and the secretion of melatonin from the pineal gland by use of histological and molecular neurobiological methods.
 

Terms of employment
The post will be filled according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The post is covered by the Protocol on Job Structure.
