Abstract:
PhD position in Computer Science on Adaptive Multicore Memory Systems at the Department of information technology
Description:
Tasks: In this work, adaptive memory systems and in particular on-chip memory hierarchies, will be designed and evaluated in the context of multicore processors. The memory system will adapt, i.e., dynamically reconfigure, in response to the behavior of a multithreaded or multiprogram workload. The goal of this dynamic reconfiguration is to optimize power-efficiency, the balance between performance and power consumption. The work will largely be carried out both in the context of the UPMARC research center, as well as be supported by two European Commission Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) projects. More information at project pages.
Deadline: 12-04-2011
