We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to perform research on a topic within the field of Human Physiology and Biomechanics.
A fully paid four year Ph.D. position is being offered. Candidates should have a background in Biomechanics, Neuroscience and Human Physiology.

The Laboratory “Physiologie et Biomécanqiue de la Locomotion” is part of the Université catholique de Louvain, based in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).

Topic
During a jump, humans have to control their landing phase to smooth the interaction between their body and the ground. Such a strategy implies an anticipation of the foot strike and a preprogrammation of the lower limbs muscles activity.
The overall aim of the PhD position is to clarify the relative role of the sensory inputs on the motor control of landing from a jump.
The research will be carried out at the ground-level (Louvain-la-Neuve, B) as well as during parabolic flights (ESA parabolic flights, Bordeaux, Fr).
